Roberto Guevara is a Philadelphia-based tenor who is currently a senior at Temple University, where he is actively pursuing his Bachelor of Music in Music Education. He has been seen on stage with the Temple Opera Theatre in their productions of Rossini's La scala di seta (Dormont), Ruders' The Handmaid's Tale (Commander X), Massenet's Cendrillon (Minister/Chorus), and Handel's Ariodante (Odoardo). His appreciation for opera and its role in society continues to blossom as he immerses himself in the Temple Opera Department.

He also participates in many choirs in the Greater Philadelphia area, including the Philadelphia Symphonic Choir under the direction of Dr. Joe Miller. Projects he has participated in with this ensemble include Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloé and Verdi’s Requiem, conducted by Riccardo Muti. Roberto was the tenor section leader of the Temple University Concert Choir under the direction of Dr. Paul Rardin, where he has performed in many venues such as The Met Philly and Marian Anderson Hall.

Other recent choral performances include serving as a chorus member in Andrew Lippa's I Am Harvey Milk with the Princeton Music Festival. Roberto’s most recent soloist performances involved working with Haverford College on Mozart's Requiem and Handel's Messiah with the Reading Choral Society. Roberto has also been awarded scholarships from music organizations, like the Reading Choral Society, for his extensive appreciation and dedication to creating inclusive and emotionally vulnerable art through music.

Currently, Roberto is preparing to perform the roles of Father Grenville in Heggie's Dead Man Walking and Franz in Rogers & Hammerstein's The Sound of Music, as well as covering the role of Ferrando in Mozart's Così fan tutte, all with the Seagle Festival.
